The concept of emerging …
The concept of becoming transformed …
The shedding of things that no longer serve us, so that we may continue to grow. To move forward. To become fully aligned with ourselves and with the universal oneness that connects us all in truth, light and purpose. To resist that which would separate us from ourselves, from one another and from the living earth.
LOTUS POD
In Eastern spirituality and philosophy, a lotus symbolizes purity, enlightenment and rebirth. It teaches spiritual detachment and transcendence.
The roots of the lotus lives and grows in murky, dark waters, while the flower rises above the waters to live in the light. It embodies the concepts of inner strength, the ability to overcome hardship, and the beauty that can emerge from suffering.
I created the Lotus Pod as a transformative experience. A way in which we can enter with our restless thoughts and b-r-e-a-t-h-e and reconnect with ourselves.

The simple act of stopping, slowing down, breathing, and checking in with ourselves can be an act of resistance against life’s demands.
Outside of my studio, multiple things compete for my immediate attention and my days are often left feeling scattered. Inside my studio, I require only me and my art. There’s a ritual I follow upon entering my studio to work – putting on my painting apron, getting coffee, lighting incense, meditating – it weeds out the interruptive thoughts so all that’s left is an intimate conversation.
